ABOUT US

Providence Baptist Church exists to glorify God by

exalting Christ, edifying God’s people, and evangelizing the lost

in the Epping & Raymond, NH area.

Welcome!

Welcome to Providence Baptist Church. We are delighted to have this opportunity to introduce you to the ministry here. We would love to invite you to be a regular part of what God is doing here at PBC.  To help you get to know us, this website serves as a general orientation about our church with the hope it helps you understand a little of who we are and what we are about.

PBC began in 1998 at a home in Deerfield, NH. In the fall of 1998, we moved to a location above the bowling alley in Raymond, then started meeting in the middle school and later at the high school. We are now in our church building on Route 27 in Epping. PBC exists as a fellowship that wants to glorify God. By God’s providential grace, He has led us thus far and we are excited about both the challenges and opportunities ahead. We praise God for His evident blessing in seeing people come to faith in Him as we grow together in Christian maturity. It is a blessing to serve God in the mission field of the Rockingham county area.

We love the glorious truth that salvation is found in scripture alone and comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone to the glory of God alone. These God-exalting truths mark our identity.

We are committed to expository preaching, evangelism of the lost, equipping the saints, and worshiping God in spirit and truth. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, but primarily, a body of people who profess to have a common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We gather together to be equipped for the work of the ministry which is the genuine testimony of changed lives by the Word of God. And of course all this is for the glory of God!  If we can minister to you in any way, it would be our privilege to serve you and the Lord in that way.

Grace and Peace to you in Christ our Savior,

Providence Baptist Elders

WHO ARE WE?

PROVIDENCE

Providence is central because it is by God's providence that we're even here. He has assembled this body of believers to exalt His son, Jesus Christ — the One whose death and resurrection gives us peace with God and the hope of heaven. You'll find that His providence is the common thread that runs through every ministry and expression of worship here.

BAPTIST

That we're Baptist is also significant. As Baptists, we believe in the authority of Scripture, the priesthood of every believer, believers' baptism, believers' church membership, believers' Lord's Supper, autonomy of the local church, and religious liberty. We also believe in cooperation, and are affiliated with the SBC, BCNE, and NHBA.

CHURCH

Church is paramount because of its absolute uniqueness. While "Providence" and "Baptist" were our choice in defining who we are, "Church" was mandated by God — as revealed in His Word. It is His designation for the assembly of people called by His name. As such, our course has been charted by God; our destiny has been planned by God; our members have been chosen by God; our purposes have been defined by God.

OUR MISSION AND VISION

We exist to glorify God by exalting Christ, edifying God's people, and evangelizing the lost in the Rockingham county area

Our mission and vision as a church is the same as every Christian congregation throughout history and around the world. Because we have been forgiven of our sins we aim to glorify God through faithful obedience to his Word. The sphere of this obedience is in our life together as a church and our witness in the world around us.

In the church, we aim to live in loving gospel community. We do this by speaking God’s word to one another and serving one another. As we do this we are growing together, being trained in the sound words of the Scriptures. A big part of this is the Sunday gathering but it also happens during the week as we spend time together.

In the world around us, we aim to live faithfully with the gospel. We do this by speaking God’s word, the gospel to those who do not yet know Christ. We aim to live with evangelistic intentionally, prayerfully pursuing the opportunities that God has given us to talk to people about Jesus.
